Do I have to sign up for Headway to use the EHR?

Yes. The Headway EHR is not a separate offering. Rather, it is built it into our existing platform, giving you full access to everything we have to offer — from expedited credentialing to biweekly payments. This allows you to seamlessly manage your entire practice from one place. Signing up for Headway and using Headway’s EHR comes at no cost. While joining Headway is required to use our EHR, using the EHR is not a requirement to stay in our network.

How secure is AI‑assisted documentation?

Our AI-assisted progress notes tool is built to be HIPAA-compliant and helps ensure that protected health information (PHI) stays safe.

Does the Headway EHR have e-prescribe functionality?

While we don’t currently offer e-prescribe functionality, we will be introducing it soon as part of a larger effort to expand our EHR for psychiatric care providers. Keep an eye out for more updates to come as we roll out this exciting new integration.

Can I export my data if I leave?

Yes. You can export your data at any time.

Can I use Headway part-time or alongside another EHR?

Yes. Many providers use Headway part-time or in addition to their private pay or group practice. There’s no minimum caseload, and you can use whichever tools fit your workflow.

What if I already use another EHR?

You can join Headway while continuing to use your existing EHR. Headway’s flexible platform makes it easy to find — or keep — the tools you want.
